Educational Qualifications:
- SI (Master):
- 10+2 or Its equivalent from a recognized Board or University
- 2nd Class Master Certificate issued by Central/ State Inland Water Treatment Authority/ Mercantile Marine Department
- SI (Engine Driver):
- 10+2 or Its equivalent from a recognized Board or University
- 1st Class Engine Driver Certificate issued by Central/ State Inland Water Treatment Authority/ Mercantile Marine Department
- Head Constable (HC Master):
- Matriculation from a recognized Board or equivalent and
- Serang Certificate
- Head Constable (HC Engine Driver):
- Matriculation from a recognized Board or equivalent and
- Processing 2nd Class Engine Driver Certificate.
- Head Constable (Work Shop):
- Matriculation from a recognized Board or equivalent and
- Industrial Training Institute Diploma in Motor Mechanic (Diesel/ Petrol Engine), Electrician, AC Technician, Electronics, Machinist, Carpentry & Plumbing for post of HC (Workshop), Mechanic (Diesel/ Petrol Engine), HC (Workshop) Electrician, HC (Workshop) AC Technician, HC (Workshop) Electronics, HC (Workshop) Machinist, HC (Workshop) Carpenter and HC (Workshop) Plumber from a recognized institution respectively.
- Constable (Crew):
- Matriculation from a recognized Board or equivalent
- One year experience in the operation of a Boat below 265 HP;
- Should know swimming in deep water without any assistance.
